Overview
This application allows you to reverse a journal by creating a contra journal that will cancel the original.
Function:
When the application is opened, you will view the following:
User access rights set up the Profile Maintenance application will determine which fields are enabled.
and buttons will always be disabled until certain fields are completed:
Enter the journal number you wish to reverse and period to post to (if different from the default). Documentation can attached to the reversed journal.
Note: Journals cannot be reversed into closed periods.
If you have insufficient access rights, the journal will always be held. For users with the highest access level, the Options section will be enabled and either of the two radio buttons can be selected.
Only certain transaction types will be allowed for reversal. This is set upon implementation of DeltaERP and cannot be changed.
The following transaction types can be reversed using the Journal Reversal application:

Once you have completed the information, click on the button.
The details of the held journal will be displayed on the screen as follows:
Held journals can be seen in the Journal Capture application under the button and posted from there, provided the relevant user has the correct access rights set up.
If you select the Post Journal Now radio button, you will receive the following messages:
